PROJECTS

Each year the Waikanae Lions undertake a wide variety of projects that support the local community and the wider Wellington region where we can help important causes that also impact Waikanae and the wider Kapiti region. Our fund-raising projects include but are not restricted to:

• Royal New Zealand Air Force Band Concert.
• Waikanae Garden Trail
• Kapiti Lions Book Fairs
• Spring Fertiliser Sale
• Foodbank Collection
• Community Christmas Lunch for the elderly
• Pest control through Predator-Free Waikanae
• Ronald McDonald House
• Mary Potter Hospice

The funds raised through our programmes have supported a number of charities including:

• Life Light trust
• Kapiti Nurses
• Kapiti Youth Support
• Nga Manu Sanctuary
• Waikanae Fire Brigade
• Wellington Free Ambulance
• The Shed Project Kapiti
